HOME APPLIANCES MADE IN YUYAO IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD

On November 4th-5th, the 19th China Plastics Industry Development International Forum hosted by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, China Light Industry Federation and China Chemical Economic and Technological Development Center was held in Yuyao City, Zhejiang Province. As one of the supporting activities, China (Yuyao) International Procurement Fair for small household Appliances was successfully held in 5th afternoon.

The "HOME APPLIANCES MADE IN YUYAO IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD " exhibition, organized by the Yuyao Bureau of Commerce and co-hosted by Yuyao China Plastic City Exhibition Co., Ltd. and Yiwu Boyu Exhibition Service Co., Ltd., is all set to boost the international profile of the International Forum for the development of China's plastics industry. The event is designed to be a 'bridge' where Yuyao's small home appliance firms can meet and chat with international buyers. It's all about making procurement more efficient and accurate for both sides, and pushing for a more integrated approach to industrial and market cluster development.

The event was graced by the presence of Yuyao Municipal People's Government Deputy Mayor Pan Jianhong, Commerce Bureau Deputy Secretary and Deputy Director Yao Liming, Science and Technology Bureau Deputy Director Xia Jianyong, Investment Promotion Center Deputy Director Chu Zhang Rong, the Economic Development Minister of Zhongyi Ningbo Ecological Park, the Secretary General of the Household Electrical Appliances Association Bao Yanhong, the Chief Economist of the Egyptian Ministry of Industry and Foreign Trade Hisham Abu Bakr Metwally, and heads from Yuyao Industrial Park, Yuyao Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, Yuyao Economic Development Zone, among other departments. Representatives from foreign and local companies and journalists joined in the festivities.

As a overseas buyers invitation unit, Yiwu Boyu Exhibition Service Co., Ltd. invited more than 80 guests from the United States, Russia, Greece, Ecuador, Serbia, Georgia, Colombia, Mexico, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Malaysia, South Korea, Morocco, India, Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Iran, Jordan, Yemen, Egypt, Syria and Nepal Purchasing representatives from more than 30 countries such as Poer, Palestine, Ethiopia, Bangladesh and Nigeria were present to discuss procurement, including representatives from many well-known enterprises such as the world brand GEEPAS purchasing manager. Through this purchasing meeting, Chinese and foreign enterprises communicated deeply and strengthened exchanges, reached fruitful cooperation results, and achieved mutual benefit. According to statistics, 100% of local small household appliance enterprises reached a preliminary agreement on the day of the meeting, signed a total of 3 cooperation agreements, which shows intention to deal with $5.6 million.

Yuyao is located in the geometric center of the Yangtze River Delta, with the private economy accounting for over 95% of the city's total economic output. By 2023, the city's GDP reached 157.1 billion yuan, and its foreign trade scale was nearly 100 billion yuan. The comprehensive strength and basic economic competitiveness always remain among the top in the country. As the most important pillar industry, the home appliance industry has undergone a transformation from initial scale to comprehensive transformation and upgrading after more than a decade of development. It has formed a cluster development pattern characterized by intelligent products, complete industrial chain supporting facilities, and growing brand groups. A number of listed companies such as Dechang Electric and Fujia Industrial have emerged. As of now, there are a total of 145 large-scale household appliance enterprises in Yuyao, with a total output value of 20.3 billion yuan. It has engaged in trade with more than 212 countries and regions, and registered export product trademarks in more than 120 countries and regions. It has become one of the three major domestic household appliance export bases on par with Qingdao and Shunde, and was awarded the national level foreign trade transformation and upgrading base (household appliances) in 2020.
